WTO Agreements

Most international trade is governed by World Trade Organization (WTC) disciplines. GATT 1994 and the other complex matrices of agreements cover the full range of tariff and non-tariff measures, including standards, government procurement, trade remedies, trade relations, investment measures, and sanitary and phytosanitary measures, to name a few. The 2001 accession of China to the WTO has brought a significant world economy under these disciplines.

International business decisions must take account of market access and fair treatment under WTO disciplines. In order to be able to compete, you should be aware of your rights and be in a position to exploit them.

Gottlieb & Associates has in-depth experience and expertise in WTO matters. Our team includes form WTO negotiators who can advise you on the specific elements that matter to you and ensure that your rights are asserted and protected.
